Oct. 6:  The Gift of Calling   Acts 13:1-5  –  Connecting with the Spirit opens us to the power of our calling. Who has God created you to be? Living into our calling fills our lives with meaning and purpose. “Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.” [Howard Thurman]

Oct. 13:  The Gift of Sharing   Acts 16:11-15  God provides an abundance of resources. Lydia finds great joy in sharing her home with the believers. What joy have you found in sharing with others?

Oct. 19:  The Gift of Language   Acts 19:1-7 We move worship to Saturday evening at 6:30 p.m. since many of our folks will participate in the Run Against Hunger on Sunday morning. As we gather around tables and break bread together we will engage in conversation with one another about our experience with language. The Spirit connects us with one another through language. What a gift it is to be able to communicate our dreams and feelings with one another, to be understood!

Oct. 27:  The Gift of Leadership   Acts 20:22-32 Leadership is caring for the whole and being willing to use our gifts for the common good. What are your gifts of leadership?

The mission of the United Methodist  Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. Local churches provide the most significant arena through which disciple-making occurs.
